Curriculum
Our curriculum is based upon the eight Key Learning Areas (KLA) within the Education Queensland syllabus documents.  A wide range of learning experiences is provided to students via integrated units that focus on at least two KLAs.  Our Thinking Framework is developed across year levels and integrated into each of these curriculum units.
Curriculum is designed to meet the individual needs of students and this is particularly evident in the development of Individual Education Plans for students with disabilities and the involvement of specialist support staff.

Our curriculum is enriched through access to specialists in Physical Education, Music, Instrumental Music, Indonesian, Technology and a Teacher Librarian.
An on-going process of profiling manages assessment of student outcomes, parent interview, internal reporting and participation in systemic assessment and moderation.
Intervention includes a variety of support programs.
Our Gifted & Talented Policy and programming is in place to support students with gifts and talents.

At the beginning of each term teachers will provide a curriculum newsletter that contains:
  • Details of the integrated unit to be covered,
  • An invitation to the culminating and orienting activities and what they are,
  • Which KLAs the unit will focus on,
  • An idea of the types of activities the students will be involved in,
  • A general description of the homework activities and what students and parents can expect
  • An idea of the types of literacy and numeracy activities that our students will be doing,
  • A list of other activities that may be held during this time eg. Swimming, Arts Council, Athletics carnival,
  • An invitation to parents to participate in the unit if they have skills, interests or resources that they feel may assist the children in working with this unit context.
